The Weekend.
What a great weekend I had at home. I spent the day’s of Thursday and Friday working. But Allyson and her BF are in town. Friday evening the three of us had dinner with some of my friends. Watching Allyson and him interact and talk about school and for him, the differences between the US and Romania, was such a privilege. What I think impresses me the most is their comfort in their opinions and their abilities to listen to others. Neither one of them tried to ‘defend their honor’ or their ideas. I could also tell they were really listening to the other folks at the table. Not just pretending, but really engaged. Young peace makers and they don’t even know it yet. Maybe it’s there youth. Perhaps they haven’t lived long enough to have the unresolved conflicts that some of us older folks have. Those things and ideologies of our pasts that get in the way of being true peacemakers. Or maybe……this was a true testimony of their true beliefs and nothing will extinguish that spark! Maybe they have such passion and humility to be the change they want to see in our world! BLESSED BE!
